Chicago, IL, August 2004-At which Chicago spa did the producers of OCEAN'S TWELVE (starring Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Bernie Mac; release date Dec. 12/10/04) choose to shoot scenes? In May 2004, when a Warner Brothers location scout needed to find a place in Chicago where Bernie Mac's movie character could get a manicure, his search led him to the hip Wicker Park neighborhood (also the setting for the September release Wicker Park, starring Josh Hartnett). On trendy Division Street, nestled among some of the city's hottest new boutiques and restaurants, he found what he was looking for: an airy, high-ceilinged, sun-filled spa with a welcoming attitude and a warm staff. Modern and minimalist by design, walls painted a soothing celadon, Fingers & Toes Nail Spa radiates the friendly, approachable vibe that characterizes the neighborhood. Owner Kristen Luu very deliberately created a spa that wouldn't intimidate its clientele. The clean, simple design reflects Luu's belief that "beauty is an extension of health, and our treatments are designed to be a natural part of our customers' routine.
